SPECIMEN & BILLING POLICIES:
BILLING:
Before testing may begin, all information required on the requisition must be received. Please supply all necessary information when submitting specimens to avoid delays in testing or rejection of specimen.
DIRECT BILLING
Referring institutions and physicians may establish
institution accounts with monthly invoicing. To establish an

INSURANCE BILLING
Insurance claims cannot be filed when specimens are received from referring facilities. It is the responsibility of that
facility to file the claim. Private patients should contact the billing office to verify insurance coverage or make arrangements for prepayment.
PREPAYMENT
Cash, personal or cashier’s checks, or money orders made payable to Saint Francis Hospital will be accepted. We also accept Visa and Mastercard. Patients may file directly with their insurance company.
MEDICARE/MEDICAID
Saint Francis is a Medicaid provider for the state of Oklahoma only. We are not able to bill Medicaid in any other states.
Complete information as requested on the requisition form must be received for billing. We are also a Medicare provider.
INTERNATIONAL CLIENTS
All international clients must include payment with the sample sent for testing. Checks or money orders made payable to Saint Francis Hospital will be accepted. Approved credit card payments by Visa or Mastercard are acceptable if the following information is included: card type, cardholder name, card account number, expiration date and amount being paid. Wire transfers are accepted; please call 918-494-1359 for instructions.
TESTS REFERRED TO ANOTHER LABORATORY:
For tests referred to another laboratory,
a handling fee of $10.00 will be charged in addition to a shipping fee.
TEST TURNAROUND TIME:
The Genetic Center is open from 8:00AM
to 4:30PM weekdays, and is closed weekends and holidays. Times indicated in WORKING
days are given as a guide for expected turnaround time. Tests often require less
time, but may occasionally require more.
UNACCEPTABLE SPECIMENS:
Some specimens can not be analyzed because of improper
collection or improper handling in transit. Other specimens can not be processed
until patient information or clinical diagnostic information is received. Please
follow the collection and transport instructions carefully. Notification of
rejected or problem specimens will be made on receipt.
